Painted with German watercolors on black 4"x6" card in an 8"x10" frame. It is remarkable how small the circles a good quality vintage steel pen compass can make! About three different sizes of compasses were used and the feeling I had when making it was that of celestial orbits, rain drops on a lake and tree rings.
