"Amazonite” - Original, Framed

24k gold leaf, watercolor Compass and straightedge construction ~2.5"x2.5" in an 9"x9" frame. One of my incredible geometry teachers from London, Adam Williamson, taught a roundel from the 14th Century Mosque-Madrasa of Sultan Hassan in Cairo, Egypt and at the center was an eight-fold star. I used the same method and adapted it here for ten. The paint is commercial and claims to have authentic Amazonite but I didn't make it so I can't say for sure. It is a beautiful color though. In the second photo, it is the one on the left.
