Meditative limited edition Indigo Evening illuminations are individually hand gilded with 24 kt gold and Caplain leaf, signed, numbered and ready for framing.
Each museum-quality illumination is made with bright archival water resistant inks on velvety smooth lightfast acid free pH neutral 100% α-cellulose German Etching paper by Hahnemühle who’s papers have been prized in European houses of nobility for centuries for their highest levels of craftsmanship and superb durability.
| Only 250 4"x4", 150 8"x8", 50" 12x12" and 25 18"x18" Indigo Evening illuminations will be made from the original 18”x18” illumination with 24k gold leaf, 19.2k white gold leaf, hand-mulled watercolors using Oregon grown Japanese indigo, other pigments and local honey on paper dyed with garden shallot skins, Celtic compass and straightedge construction using the Celtic compass and straightedge construction methods of geometry teacher, Adam Tetlow. 18"x18" art matted in a gold color finish 23.75"x23.75" frame. The indigo was a gift from a local 5th grade charter school teacher. I taught a afternoon paint making class to her students in their art and geology unit a few times. © BKS 2022 |
