Richly gilded limited edition Ultramarine Star illuminations are individually hand gilded with 24 kt gold, signed, numbered and ready for framing. Caplain gilding available upon request.
Each museum-quality illumination is made with bright archival water resistant inks on velvety smooth lightfast acid free pH neutral 100% α-cellulose German Etching paper by Hahnemühle who’s papers have been prized in European houses of nobility for centuries for their highest levels of craftsmanship and superb durability.
| Only 50 Ultramarine Star illuminations each of two sizes will be made from the original ~2.5"x2.5" illumination of the same name. One of my incredible geometry teachers from London, Adam Williamson, taught a roundel from the 14th Century Mosque-Madrasa of Sultan Hassan in Cairo, Egypt and at the center was an eight-fold star.
