Portal-like limited edition Amethyst Refraction II illuminations are individually hand gilded with Caplain leaf, signed, numbered and ready for framing.
Each museum-quality illumination is made with bright archival water resistant inks on velvety smooth lightfast acid free pH neutral 100% α-cellulose German Etching paper by Hahnemühle who’s papers have been prized in European houses of nobility for centuries for their highest levels of craftsmanship and superb durability.
| Only a max of 99 Amethyst Refraction II illuminations each of the 4”x4” size and 19 of the 8”x8” size will be made from the original ~6”x6” colored pencil illumination of the same name. The pattern was drawn with ruler and compass based off of a using a method taught by Katya Nosyreva PhD and gleaned from analysis of the anonymous Medieval Persian manuscript titled On Similar and Complimentary Interlocking Figures. © BKS 2020 |
