Richly gilded limited edition Amethyst Star illuminations are individually hand gilded with 24 kt gold leaf, Caplain and Champaign gold, signed, numbered and ready for framing. All Caplain or gold gilding available upon request.
Each museum-quality illumination is made with bright archival water resistant inks on velvety smooth lightfast acid free pH neutral 100% α-cellulose German Etching paper by Hahnemühle who’s papers have been prized in European houses of nobility for centuries for their highest levels of craftsmanship and superb durability.
| Only 50 Amethyst Star illuminations each of two sizes will be made from the original ~2.5"x2.5" illumination of the same name. One of my incredible geometry teachers from London, Adam Williamson, taught a roundel from the 14th Century Mosque-Madrasa of Sultan Hassan in Cairo, Egypt and at the center was an eight-fold star.
